Each year the Foundation partners with a financial planning professional to bring you information about making the most of your retirement from GAPS. Learn how to use your retirement assets to support you, your loved ones , and your favorite charity.
Guest Speaker: Eric King, CFP, Bridges Wealth Management, Corvallis, OR
Topic: PERS retirement process and how to blend pension income with social security and other retirement assets in a tax efficient manner. Topics also covered are things that people should be considering as they approach retirement.
Who should attend: GAPS staff that are getting close to retirement (Within ~5 years)
Eric’s interest in finance and business peaked while studying at Brigham Young University. He returned to Oregon and started his own financial planning practice in 2003. Eric has held the mark of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ since 2006.
Eric loves educating people on how to make their money most efficient. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals. His in-depth experience is in retirement planning and income distribution strategies. Eric is also knowledgeable about Oregon PERS and social security options.
Eric grew up in Corvallis and built a home there with his wife Nicole. They have five children Tyson, Natalie, Alivia, Taylor, and Kaden. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to new places, and is very active in sports. He actively serves in his church and is an eagle scout.
