Over one million dollars awarded in scholarships to Albany graduates!
Each fall, the Albany Public Schools Foundation accepts grant applications from elementary principals in the Greater Albany Public School District for innovative programs, tools and supplies supporting enrichment opportunities for students in the areas of art, music, science and health/wellness. Each Albany Public Elementary School may apply for funding for various programs which would not normally be available in the school budget.
This is different than the classroom grant program in that the applicant is the school principal and the grant is for a school wide program.
Some of the past enrichment grants funded have included artist in residence programs, Strings music instruction, Mileage Club, Robotics Clubs, Outdoor School, and more. The Foundation partners with The Greater Albany Public School District to administer and fund this program.
Did you receive an elementary enrichment grant this year? If so, please submit your grant report. To be eligible for future grants, a report must be submitted. We would love to hear about all of the wonderful work that you do in the classroom. Thanks for being a star for Albany students!
