Our privacy policy helps protect our students, stakeholders, and donors privacy. Albany Public Schools Foundation partners with the Greater Albany Public School District to help Albany students succeed.
1.1 The following policy is being set forth in keeping with the mission of the Albany Public Schools Foundation which purpose is to generate and distribute resources that enrich and enhance education opportunities for all students, encourage teachers to implement innovative education programs and award scholarships to Albany Public School District students.
1.2 This statement is set forth in order that the staff, Board of Directors (the “Board”), and our supporters, may be made aware of the policy of the Foundation with regard to privacy of information.
2.1 The Albany Public Schools Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy of our supporters, including our donors, volunteers and those who interact with our organization. We do not sell, rent, loan, or otherwise share any information about them to external parties, except as legally required by the IRS.
2.2 When donors contribute to certain funds (scholarship and donor designated), the members of the allocations committee for that fund are able to see donor names and the amount contributed.
2.3 At times, we will also publicly recognize and celebrate supporters, either at events or by including their name in our Annual Report. Any supporter may at any time request anonymity and we will honor these requests.
2.4 Like all organizations with a website, The Albany Public Schools Foundation receives standard tracking data when you visit our site. Information from your browser — including your IP address, pages visited, the length of time you spend on our site, and files you download — is recorded in our website server logs. We use and analyze this data to develop site content, so that we can continue to provide you with a positive experience when you visit our website. However, no personal information is collected during the tracking process. We do not sell, rent, loan or otherwise share any personally identifying information, or information of any kind, that a user provides.
2.5 The Albany Public Schools Foundation also provides links to external websites from our website. Unless we expressly state otherwise, The Albany Public Schools Foundation makes no representations whatsoever concerning the content or privacy policies of those sites.
2.6 The Albany Public Schools Foundation may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information.
2.7 The Albany Public Schools Foundation reserves the right to update or change this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued engagement with our organization, including at events, our website and our social media pages, after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on our website (https://albanypsf.org/privacy-policy/), constitutes your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
